Poster Campaign:

UI Student Groups, MidAmerican Energy and Facilities Management Partner in Raising Campus Awareness

Student organizations of UISG (student government) and ESW (Engineers for a Sustainable World), together with Facilities Management and MidAmerican Energy have formed a partnership to work on energy conservation efforts on campus.

Two poster campaigns are underway to help promote awareness:

“When not in use, turn off the juice” – Cambus (our campus bus service) posters prepared by the student organizations of ESW and UISG to help create awareness of the need to conserve energy in the student population.

“Save some green” -- MidAmerican Energy employed a professional advertising agency to help design a “light switch” poster to be placed in public areas of GEF facilities to draw attention to energy conservation opportunities.  Of note:

·         MidAmerican paid for the printing of 2500 high quality posters

·         The University administration has approved the use of these posters.

·         These posters are intended for display in public areas, classrooms, conference rooms, restrooms and corridors
