The Energy Expo 2006 is the centerpiece of a Week of Renewable Energy and Sustainability on the UI Campus, September 24 -30.

The University of Iowa’s Energy Expo: The Energy Expo provides a unique opportunity to bring together industry, academics, students, government and the public to focus on energy conservation initiatives, innovative technological solutions, and sustainability. The Expo is free and open to the public. Energy Expo 2006 will feature:
- Exhibits
- Demonstrations
- Presentations
- Herky the Hawk
- Free T-shirts and prizes
- Entertainment
- Workshops and panel discussions
- And, a special visit from Philippe Cousteau, environmentalist and grandson of the legendary Jacques Cousteau, president of EarthEcho International. EarthEcho seeks to inspire actions that sustain and enhance our water planet. Philippe is currently producing a series of radio adventures for National Public Radio’s “Living on Earth” and is involved in the creation of an interactive, simulated edutainment game. Philippe was recently named chief ocean correspondent for Discovery’s Animal Planet Channel.
When: Wednesday, September 27, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Where: The University of Iowa east campus and in downtown Iowa City, including University Capitol Centre, City Plaza (Pedestrian Mall), and the Sheraton Iowa City Convention Center.
