Information for EXHIBITORS at Energy Expo 2006
- All display or booth space is FREE for exhibitors! (Thanks to our sponsors)
- Admission to all forums and presentations at the expo is FREE!
- All energy and sustainability-related displays are welcome.
- Please fill out the on-line form with description of your display. This will be used for planning, publicity and for identification on the day of the event.
- Exhibitions run from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 27
- Exhibit space is available at the following locations:
- Seamans Center –College of Engineering Plaza (facing Capitol Street)
- Capitol Street (RV’s, autos, large displays and outdoor displays)
- Old Capitol Town Center mall (public areas on first floor)
- City Plaza (outdoor pedestrian mall – downtown Iowa City)
- Sheraton Convention Center (basement of Sheraton) including main exhibit room, pre-function area and concourse.
- Booth displays consist of 8X8, 10X10 and 8X16 pipe and drape or simple table top with skirting. Each display will have one or two tables provided, depending on your needs.
- Stand alone displays are welcome.
- Out-of- town and out-of-state exhibitors should consider overnight lodging on Tuesday, September 26 and/or September 27.
- Displays to be shipped ahead of time can be sent to the Sheraton or to the Old Capitol Town Center docks to arrive no sooner than three days prior to event. Contact Expo Coordinator for address and instructions.
- Sheraton and Old Capitol Town Center facilities have standard elevators and/or stairways. Access to docks and larger freight elevators available upon request.
- Renewable fuel automobiles can be displayed inside the mall and on Capitol Street between the mall and the Seamans Center College of Engineering.
- Displays may be set up on the evening of Tuesday, September 26 (8:00PM – Midnight) or beginning at 6:00 AM on the morning of Wednesday, September 27.
- Parking is available at four nearby ramps. Exhibitors and lodgers at the Sheraton can have free parking validated at the front desk in the Sheraton lobby.
- The University of Iowa will have limited volunteer help for set and tear-down of displays. Please indicate when you plan to arrive.
- Exhibitors for both Expo and College of Engineering Career Recruitment Fair (September 28) will be located at the Sheraton Convention Center. Please make lodging reservations accordingly. Event Sponsor-Exhibitors will receive preferred locations at the Sheraton for the Energy Expo. Since these are two separately arranged events, an additional set-up may be necessary on the evening of September 27 or morning of September 28.
